Sometimes when you're feeling your lowest, what's under all that bad feeling is a deep sadness that may actually be the thing that needs attention. You'll never know until you let all of that pain out to see what's under it. Most of the time it's hard for me to realize when I need to do this. I get so absorbed in feeling like I have no control of what's going on and fail to realize that most of the time, it's all in my head. 

I'm trying to get used to being as vulnerable as I can, at least with myself, as often as possible. That comes with a lot of self love and at moments it's still hard to fend off a negative voice that keeps nagging me in my head. I'm realizing that this whole self love thing is a lot harder than I thought and if I'm going to get better at it, there's no days off. No breaks. Once that negative voice slips back in, it's important to shut it down as fast as possible or see where it's coming from and what it wants so I can find out what's under it. Mentally it's exhausting but it's a privilege to be able to be able to focus on this and not have to worry about a lot of the real world problems people have to face every day. Not minimizing my issues but just putting it all in perspective and having gratitude for the things I do have under control. 

I feel like it's important to know when to stop and frankly, when to get over yourself. Sometimes the thing you're worried about isn't in front of you, it's in the past and simply in your imagination.
