Art Description:
“Either way it's the same. I can't keep living like this anymore! I know it's wrong but I can't resist the temptation, it's too alluring. The urge writhes deep within me waiting to be released. How long can I hold these feelings back? Every time I get the sensation I feel like I'm going to burst! Can they see me yearning? Do they know? They must, your face says it all. Not in the little pond anymore eh buddy? It's all my fault. You're sick you know that. You're a green, slimy little monster! I'm disgusting! How can I live with myself? No...No...You're the victim. It's not your problem. It's only natural. It's them! It's all their fault. They know what they're doing to you and they want it. They want to see you gnawing at yourself like this. They like it. They enjoy your suffering. So do it. Do it just to spite them. They want to see you fall anyway. You do too! You hate it here. It's the smell! You hate living this lie. So why not do it and end this eternal hell? You know you want to you nasty vermin. You like it. Yes, you like it too. You want it. You like the pain. You like this self-loathing torment. The exhilaration is more than you've ever felt in your life! You yearn for the thrill of it all. So no one can tell you when to croak but yourself. To be your own boss. You like that don't you. Oh they'll see, they'll all see who I really am. Yes, that's it. Now it's my turn.”
Originally meant to be more of a funny post, I think this piece takes on a different perspective today after hearing the results of the election. Reading the description now, I feel a little scared like I'm sure a lot of us are right now. This corporate frog guy represents people trying to take back control of something by ruining everything for everyone else. They are lost in a facade that they've been fooled into believing. A lot of people are hurting in this world today and all in very unique ways. Hug your loved ones and make them feel seen. I think it's important to keep on moving forward as best as we can and try to fight to make sure this doesn't happen again the next time around. It's our job not to give up.
