You Made It!

You Made It!

Thank you for checking out api-rats.com! I know it may not be the toughest thing in the world to do but it means the world to me!

For your information, I want to post all my lengthy descriptions to my drawings here instead of Instagram or another social media site. The images I create can be the "draw" so to speak (no pun intended... but yes). These sites don't do enough to protect the creator and at this moment, I don't want to just throw these heartfelt words to the fire. It may hurt my feelings and turn me off from just being myself. Sorry, I have weak ankles! One day, maybe? But come on how great is this?! We're on freaking api-rats.com! There's no better place but here. Let's go!

This is me if you guys were wondering. The hat is based on the one that Mickey wears in Fantasmic Show and Fireworks, a favorite attraction of mine at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Side note: this show is magical to me and is essential to a perfect Disney experience. I am probably one of the biggest Disney fans that I know, kid you not. So growing up, these incredible moments they've created have lasted as beautiful pieces of my childhood. When I see Fantasmic now, I cry every time. I was so freaking lucky to have that show in my life. Thanks Dad.

Anyways, growing up, I always thought the sound of a "muumuu" dress was hilarious. Not to mention, the funny and hungover connotation behind them. It's the thing you put on right before and after bed? I'm guessing so I really have no idea. They look chill as ever and are probably super comfortable. I dig it.

Shades, of course, for obvious reasons.

This is just a reference to me and at least what I feel like as I try to make as much art as I do. It's exhausting and not what you would think. It's a lot of work though most of it goes into just getting myself into the right headspace. Once I'm there, I can do anything. I promised you guys and myself that I wouldn't force it. I don't like looking at art knowing the person didn't love creating it. I would never want to do that to you here. So I do some crazy stuff! I stay up all night, not eat all day, sometimes eat all day, yell and jump around like a madman. Whatever it takes to get in "the flow" as I like to say. It's a philosophy that I base, of course, off Kobe Bryant. Stephen A. Smith on First Take, a podcast that I listen to daily, always says that Kobe "never cheated us". Always going out there every night and day, showing up with expert preparation and maximum effort. Every day I am fine tuning what that is for me. It is a process but I don't take breaks on this, I love my life and I'm not giving up.
